Heart Shaped Cookies at the Eaton Center
I had an idea to bake heart shaped cookies and put the Imagine sayings in them as fortune. I though of giving them out on the street for the holidays and for New Years. A fun little gift to strangers and for me a way to outreach outside my circle for the project.

I got baking, I baked about 200 shortbread cookies. It took me one evening and most of next day.
But I could not put ‘the fortune’ in the cookies, it was too complicated and would have been too time consuming.
So I decided to give out the cookies and the fortunes separately. I cut out and placed the fortunes in a red heart box and had the cookies on the side.
My biggest fan (my mom) and I went to Toronto on Sunday and stood in front of the Eaton’s Center.

My mom started playing her violin and I started handing out cookies and fortunes…Well trying to hand them out. No one seemed to want a home made cookies and a fortune. After 20 minutes, I though, I need a change of strategy. I took only the fortunes (the Imagine sayings) and went Inside the Eaton’s Center handing them to people. Success, people seem to be more willing to take just a piece of paper. Now there are 200 imagines in the hands of people I don’t know.
